The Coronavirus pandemic has forced us all to work differently. Remote working is the norm. Of course, we always had team members located in different cities or countries but we always had some of us located together or traveled to see each other. This aspect is gone.

How can we adjust to this “new normal” and how does it affect a challenge like the one faced by the Social Jedi Series team which would have been difficult enough all being in the same building but now all are based remotely.

The factors that have to be addressed are listed in this list at a high level. Addressing these now enable teams to work in an accelerated mode when an urgent project arrives and has to be handled with remotely located team members.
Naturally it is assumed that the social media team members with the right skills are in place.

Online project team calls

The Social Jedi Series is given just 48 hours to create a social media marketing campaign for a new client.
The countdown continues. 3 hours have gone by so far. Remote working team calls are crucial now.

The first online team call is underway for the 48 hour project. Now the team will depend on all the factors listed by the above Forrester research to be effective.

Progress and setbacks

Joyce and Elena have no luck finding influencers. However, Lorenco found some good user generated content that will be used. He has now progressed to the brand compliance stage. Sofia is struggling with finding any initial insights from Twitter Spaces. Rob and his A.I. Robot are out scouting for possible filming venues.

It is only 3 hours into the total of 48 but the team is struggling a bit. They are getting nervous to launch the campaign within 48 hours. However, they still have time to turn it around.
