LinkedIn Newsletters
Have you run dry on creativity as to where to launch your next newsletter? You may have tried many tools in the past but do you know that you can launch a newsletter in LinkedIn?
Advantages of LinkedIn Newsletters
LinkedIn now has over 63,000 newsletters. However, there are many advantages around creating them in LinkedIn.
- It is easy and quick
- Publishing newsletters will see them feature in the LinkedIn feed.
- Your connections and followers will be invited by notification.
- You can only create and maintain one newsletter at a time.
How to get started with Newsletters
Firstly make sure that your LinkedIn profile is up to date and has all the latest functions switched on and consider the creator profile.
Create your first newsletter by clicking the “write article” button on the LinkedIn homepage.
Make sure that you pick a topic that you care about because that will drive you to create lots of great content.
While publishing fill in details about the newsletter, and it is best practice to add hashtags.
Publishing will also see it feature in the LinkedIn feed, so you do not need to start from zero to build an audience. You will most likely have 100s of followers and connections.
Your connections and followers will be invited by notification to subscribe to your newsletter once the first article has been published.
Remember that it is good practice to share your newsletter on as well as off LinkedIn to get better reach.
So what is stopping you? Get going!
Hi Clive,
I get so many messages from people asking me to subscribe that I don’t subscribe to any anymore. It’s too much. I wonder how well they work for those that do use them? Thanks for the information and now I know why I receive the invitations.
Yes Lisa I get a lot too. At first I did subscribe to some of my close friends or past colleagues but to be honest I have some much inbound info that I already subscribed to and need for my job or hobbies its so hard to read the extra things and so sadly had to unsubscribe. So in the end I am like you ;-). I do believe that do do get many sign ups but from folks who do not have many years in the industry and thus not much inbound info coming to them. I always encourage my interns to try this to get extra 3rd party perspectives.
